A village covered in clouds. The name of the village is Nurpur. The people of this village were simple, but their lives were filled with extreme poverty and struggle. Everyone in the village had a look of worry on their faces.
The centerpiece of this village was a young man named Yasin. He was only 25 years old. He had a dark complexion, deep eyes, and always a light smile on his face.
Yasin studied in a madrasa since childhood, memorized the Quran, and learned the Hadith. But after growing up, the responsibility of the family fell on his shoulders. His father was a poor farmer who had died just a few years ago. His mother was sick, and he had to pay for the education of his two younger brothers and a sister and all the expenses of the family.
One day, Yasin was sitting in the mosque during the morning call to prayer and crying to Allah. His tears were flowing nonstop. He was saying—
“Oh Allah! I have no refuge except You. You are merciful, compassionate. If you do not help me, I will be exhausted!”
The Imam of the mosque heard his cries and came closer. Putting his hand on his shoulder, he said,
“Father Yasin, remember—for him who fears Allah and puts his trust in Him, Allah makes a way for him that he cannot even imagine (Surah At-Talaq, verses 2-3). Your tears will one day turn into rain of joy, Insha’Allah.”
Yasin wiped his eyes. The Imam’s words gave him strength. It felt like a light suddenly appeared in the darkness.
Chapter 2: The Glory of Trials and Patience
From that day on, Yasin started a new struggle. In the morning, after Fajr prayer, he would work in the fields, in the afternoon he would teach the children the Quran, and in the afternoon he would go to the market and sell some small things.
One day, a rich businessman came to the village market. He saw that Yasin was talking to people very honestly, not cheating anyone, and keeping the prices fair.
The businessman came closer and asked,
“You are working so hard, yet why is there a smile on your face?”
Yasin replied,
“Because I know that Allah honors whom He wills through His mercy. The hardships of this world are only a test. And the real reward will come only if you can pass this test.”
The businessman was impressed and wanted to give him some money. But Yasin did not accept it. He said,
I do not want to accept anything without hard work. If you want, give me a job.”
The businessman was surprised to see this honesty. He said,
“So can you repair some things for my shop? I will pay you well for it.”
Yasin happily agreed. From that day on, a new chapter in his life began.
Chapter 3: The Door to Allah's Mercy
After working for a few days, the businessman appointed Yasin as the permanent manager of his shop. The shop gradually grew bigger. The number of customers started increasing due to Yasin's honesty and good management.
Yasin used to pray two rak'ahs of Nafl prayers every day before opening the shop and supplicated:
“O Allah! Make my livelihood lawful, bless me and guide me to Your path.”
The businessman was so pleased with his sincerity and sincerity that one day he said,
“Yasin, I want to make you a partner in my business. You will own half of this business.”
Yasin broke down in tears upon hearing this offer. He fell down in prostration and thanked Allah. He knew that this success came from Allah, not from his own intelligence or strategy.
Chapter 4: The Fruits of Mother's Prayer and Tawakkul
Yasin's mother was still sick. But now she was getting good treatment. The younger brothers were admitted to school, the sister was admitted to college. Everyone in the family started to smile again.
One day, the mother called her son and said,
“Father, always remember that people's situations change by the will of Allah. Whatever you have achieved today is due to your honesty, hard work and above all, the grace of Allah. Never be arrogant in front of people.”
Yasin bowed his head, kissed his mother's feet and said,
“Mother, nothing would have been possible for me without your prayers. I am strong today because of you.”
Chapter 5: Inspiration from the Village People
The youth of the village were impressed by Yasin's transformation. Everyone started looking at him as their role model.
One day, a special lecture was organized in the village mosque. Yasin was called as the speaker.
Taking the microphone in his hand, Yasin said,
“Brothers and sisters, I was not a great scholar or businessman. I just tried to live honestly. Allah says — Whoever fears Allah, Allah will make a way out for him and provide for him from unexpected sources (Surah At-Talaq, verses 2-3).
Do not give up in difficult times of life. Call on Allah, cry, crying is the most beloved act of worship to Allah. Poverty, hardship, unemployment — everything is temporary. When Allah wants, He can change everything in a moment.
Never neglect the prayers of your parents. I came to this state because of my mother’s prayers. Even when there was nothing, my mother cried to Allah for me.
Whatever I have become today is the result of Allah’s mercy. So I say, do not be jealous of someone’s livelihood, do not be jealous of someone’s progress. Be patient. Allah has provided a specific livelihood for you. Follow the path of Allah, perform the prayers and the Quran properly. Insha’Allah, whatever you "Hopefully, you will get more than that."
Hearing these words brings tears to people's eyes. Many repent anew, some promise to return to prayer, some swear to strengthen their relationships with their families.
Chapter 6: The Key Lesson of Success
After the speech, an old man came and hugged Yasin and said,
“Father, your story taught us to live a new life. From today on, I will rely completely on Allah and work hard for halal sustenance.”
Yasin smiled softly and said,
“Allah is our greatest hope. When we trust in Him, no mountain can stop us.”
The Last Chapter: Spreading the Light of Mercy
Yasin's story spread throughout the village. People from the surrounding villages also started coming to meet him. Some to ask for help, some to seek advice, some just to see how Allah had blessed a poor young man.
Yasin never turned anyone away. He spoke to everyone with a smile. If a hungry person came to his shop, he would give them food for free. He would teach the students free Quran.
In this way, the village of Nurpur gradually began to be filled with light. Many would say, "After Yasin came, it was as if a spiritual light had descended on this village."
"Remember, when you put your trust in Allah, the darkness in your life will disappear. Be patient, work hard, and sincerely develop a relationship with Allah. One day your life will also change. Insha'Allah!"
